Celebration of the 35th Independence Anniversary of the Republic of Armenia in Kuwait

On September 29, the Embassy of Armenia in Kuwait hold official reception celebrating the 35th Independence Anniversary of the Republic of Armenia.

The reception brought together a large number of guests, including heads and representatives of the Kuwaiti Government and state institutions, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Kuwait, businesspersons, public and cultural individuals, as well as spiritual and civil leaders of the Kuwaiti-Armenian community. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait H.E. Hamad Sulaiman Mashaan Al-Mashaan attended as the Guest of Honor.

The choir of the "Hamazgayin" Cultural Association of Kuwait performed the national anthems of Kuwait and Armenia. The association's dance ensemble showcased to the guests traditional Armenian folk dances.

In his remarks, H.E. Ambassador Arakelyan addressed the achievements of Armenia since the restoration of its independence, highlighting the steps undertaken by the Government of Armenia to achieving development priorities, particularly following the 2018 Velvet Revolution.

He also underlined the centuries-old Armenian-Arab friendship and the developmental stages of bilateral relations between Armenia and Kuwait over the past 35 years, outlining prospects for collaboration in key sectors and emphasizing the growth of mutual interest between entrepreneurs and public organizations.

On behalf of the Government of Armenia and on his own behalf, Ambassador Arakelyan expressed gratitude to the leadership, Government, and individuals of friendly Kuwait for the support provided throughout the years and for the successfully implemented projects in educational and other humanitarian spheres. He also extended words of gratitude to the Kuwaiti-Armenian community for the respect they have earned over decades of being Kuwaiti residents and for their active participation in the country's cultural, sports, and public endeavors.

At the conclusion of the event, the Embassy of Armenia in Kuwait hosted an official reception.
