On May 19, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the State of Kuwait Arsen Arakelyan presented his credentials to Sheikh Mishaal al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, the Emir of the State of Kuwait.

Welcoming Ambassador Arakelyan, Sheikh Mishaal al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah congratulated him on his appointment and wished him effective and successful activities for the benefit of the development of bilateral relations. The Emir of Kuwait emphasized the friendly ties binding Kuwait and Armenia and expressed his willingness to contribute to the enhancement of cooperation in various fields. He also commended the role of the Armenian community living in Kuwait in the public life of the country.

Ambassador Arakelyan conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of the President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan to the Emir of Kuwait. The Ambassador reaffirmed Armenia's commitment to strengthen partnership in the areas of mutual interest and expressed gratitude to the authorities of Kuwait for the attention shown to the Armenian community and the dignified conditions created for them.

During the meeting parties particularly emphasized the friendly and mutually trust-based nature of Armenia-Kuwait relations, as well as stressed the importance of developing and advancing the agenda of bilateral cooperation.

Interlocutors also touched upon the regional developments.
